Educating young people about the dangers inherent in their everyday lives is not an assignment for the faint of heart.   It takes reams of information, no small amount of courage, and tenacity not easily maintained.   Yet, as we enter one of the most dangerous seasons for teens, the call to action has never been greater.

Almost a month after state officials said Wayland Middle School principal violated campaign laws, some residents said they are wondering why the school administrator was not fined.

After eight and a half years at the helm of St. Zepherin Parish in Wayland and more than 44 years as a Roman Catholic priest, Father Ronald L. Bourgault retired at the end of last month. “It’s time for me to slow down,” he said simply.

Two former Tufts University administrators, including a Wayland woman, face charges they stole nearly $1 million from the university in separate schemes, spending money on trips to Foxwoods, Paris and Montreal, buying concert tickets to see Madonna and charging designer goods including Gucci and Louis Vuitton.
