Tradition comes alive at powwow

Six months of work boiled down to an emotionally charged Special Town Meeting Wednesday night, leaving the town with a budget — five days before the end of the fiscal year.

Just hours before he stood in front of a packed June 25 Special Town Meeting to present his amendments to the town manager’s budget, School Committee member Keith Rauseo handed in his resignation.

On June 22, a beaming and blushing Tina Craven promised to love and honor her soul mate and future husband, Glenn Williams, forever. But seven weeks prior to this momentous day, Craven and Williams were unsure of how long forever would be.

If earning several gold medals at states wasn’t enough, the Shawsheen Valley Technical High School students were astounding at the Skills USA National competition held in Kansas City in June.
