Two hundred attend Sunday night vigil
A crowd of 200, based on police estimates, came together on the town green Sunday evening, holding candles and singing together in an act of community, hoping to banish hate from the town.

Sleeping driver leads to drug arrests
Marshfield -Police from Scituate, Marshfield and Hanover have been working to build a drug trafficking case against men they thought were selling cocaine in the area, but according to Scituate Police Lt. Detective Michael Stewart, their break didn’t come until this past weekend, when one of the alleged dealers fell asleep in his car.

Marshfield residents charged in alleged mortgage scam
Marshfield -Two Marshfield residents were indicted June 26 on charges relating to an alleged mortgage scheme involving properties in Worcester County.

School committee increases prices
Marshfield -The price of school lunches next year will be 50 cents more for students and 25 cents more for adults. There will also be increases for second lunches, milk, ice cream, and a la carte items.

July 4 celebration will feature re-enactments
Marshfield -Boy Scout Troop 101 and Marshfield children in colonial garb will take over the town green on July 4 as they re-enact the Marshfield Tea Party and other Revolutionary War scenes to a narration by Regina Porter of the historical commission.
