Here we go with another election. No, not that national one we keep hearing about — but Georgetown’s own special pet election. Photos of candidates for the most beautiful pet in the Georgetown area are currently being accepted by the Georgetown Women of Today.

    As the School Committee and School Building Committees work together to decide the future of Penn Brook School, no final decision has yet been made over whether to renovate and expand or to demolish and rebuild the 30-year-old school building, according to School Committee Chairman George Moker.

  • Culture of collaboration: Bruno excited about start of school

    New Georgetown Middle School Assistant Principal Geoff Bruno can’t wait for students to begin filing into the school next week. Right now it’s pretty quiet on the third floor of the building.

    “I’m excited to get all the kids in here and get rolling,” he said this week.

  • Police desperate for crossing guard volunteers

    The Georgetown Police Department is in desperate need of volunteers to serve as crossing guards. School starts Sept. 3 and only two out of five positions have been filled.
