New classroom furniture, spruced up rooms, and the installation of LCD projectors are among the improvement projects that have been completed in the town’s public schools over the summer.

COMMENTARY

No matter how many times the question of where to put the Petersen Pool is asked, only one answer is right and proper.  It reminds me of the nagging child who keeps asking and asking and asking a parent for something, hoping to wear that parent down to get a yes.

An old sea captain Augustus Petersen left $65,000 more than 40 years ago to be used to build a pool for the children of East Braintree. The money has grown to more than $2 million. Many committees have studied where it should be. It has never been built.
