Preservation society charts new directions
Thirty members of the Bourne Society for Historical Preservation gathered under a boundless summer sky at the Briggs-McDermott House along Sandwich Road June 14 to hold their annual meeting and chart new directions.

Bourne parade to build on last year’s success
BOURNE -The Second Annual Bourne on the Fourth of July Parade along Main Street is anticipated to be a carbon copy of the first procession last year, only this one will include more music and run longer.

Public safety is key at July 5 fireworks
BOURNE -Bourne police are asking for extra caution before and after the fireworks display on the evening of July 5.
Police will keep streets open for as long as possible prior to the fireworks which are due to begin at dusk.
